Note | Birth: Jun. 6, 1901Death: Oct. 27, 2001 Mattie Mae Bone, 100, of Amarillo, died Saturday, Oct. 27, 2001. Services will be at 3 p.m. Tuesday in Trinity Baptist Church sanctuary with Dr. David Evans officiating. Burial will be in Llano Cemetery by Schooler Funeral Home, 4100 S. Georgia St. Mrs. Bone was born the oldest of 11 children to Samuel and Mabelle McWilliams. She was born in White Rock and had been a resident of Amarillo since 1926. She was a longtime member of the San Jacinto U nited Methodist Church, a life member of Eastern Star and a member of the Daughters of the Nile. She was married to Ira Bone for 33 years. She was preceded in death by her first husband, G.R. (Dick) Bufkin; and a son, Sam Bufkin. Survivors include her husband; a daughter, Mary Helen Bohrer and husband, Dennis, of Amarillo; a stepson, Lee Bone of Amarillo; a daughter-in-law, Virginia Bufkin of Mabank; four sisters, Lorene Harre l, Fannie Pearl Harrel, LaRue Katherine Munz and Loma Lee Schugart, all of Greenville; a brother, James Samuel McWilliams of Odessa; 10 grandchildren; 19 great-grandchildren; and a great-great-grandch ild. The family suggests memorials be to San Jacinto United Methodist Church, 505 S. Tennessee St., Amarillo, TX 79106.
