| Note | The Daily Ardmoreite Posted Nov 23, 2008 Seadrift, Texas — Private graveside rites will be conducted for Ida Mae Smith, 91, Ardmore, at Seadrift Cemetery. Born Dec. 30, 1916, in Putnam, Texas, to Thomas and Lula Mae Bone Strain, she died Nov. 22, 2008, in Ardmore. She married Woodrow Smith, who preceded her in death. She was also preceded in death by he r parents, four sisters, one brother and a grandson, Bobby Millhollon Jr. Ida was a devoted wife and mother. She looked forward to going to her heavenly home. She will be greatly missed by her friends and family. She was a resident of Ardmore Village and was Protestant. A s she prepared to leave this world she left us these words, "Please hold my hands and guide me while I cross to the other side where life will be so different and I'll ever more abide." Survivors include one son, Kenneth Smith and wife, Kathy, Seadrift; one daughter, Joy Stockwell and husband, Bill, Ardmore; nine grandchildren; 20 great-grandchildren; six great-great-grandchildren; m any nieces and nephews; and two sisters, Delonia Kimbrell, Rockport, Texas, and Mable Todd, Seadrift.
