Note | Note from Cynthia Evard Utsey: Uncle Charles was the kindest man. He used to collect coins. We had so much fun with Aunt Opal . We all went to church together. Aunt Opal had lemons trees, strawberry’s etc. we had fresh lemonade a nd strawberry jam all the time. I believe Uncle Max lived in a trailer behind aunt opals house. I think he was aunt Opals brother. I felt very safe at their home. I grew up being scared. There wer e a lot of bad people in my life. When our step father herb came along , things were good. He was a great person. The type of man that would have died for us. I miss him dearly. He was a great protect or. He was a Seminole Indian. We had lots of fun with him. He was also a butcher and hunter. |
